the concept of charity work
rarely I find People who do charity work without being selfish themselves...
they do it for "ajr" ..or "dua'a" ..not for Pure selfless reasons of Merely helping someone in need
Once u genuinely want to help someone
only to make him feel better. leaving the concept of Ajr aside
that's the true essence of Charity
But yet again. the good feeling that it gives you. make this deed kinda selfish right?:P
( I remembered that episode from f.r.i.e.n.d.s when Joey dares Phoebe to find one selfless deed lol)
Death
I recently lost a colleague of mine. she was a bundle of joy. full of life. just got married and graduated. Within 6 months, cancer took a vicious raid over her body cells. and now she's gone :(
May her soul rest in peace…
no one really knows what happens after you die. of course your body starts decaying and disintegrating .but the soul is eternal.
We are all eternal

back to work
ah! so now the vacation is over. now it's time to go back to work...wow that feels good :)
I have to juggle between my French lessons and work though. I love it when things are crazy and chaotic. I guess I'm an adrenaline Junkie :P

But this post is ummm... changing my opinion :)I like the way your mind thinks out of the box.
I don't believe in the concept of afterlife so for me charity is about helping someone out. They don't have homeless shelters here where you can volunteer so I find investing in Muhammad Yunus's microcredit concept the best way to help people work their way out of poverty.
Heaven: The place with an endless supply of virgins, no thanks I'll pass. I believe that humans wrong because of humans. And if God created humans, then how can he punish his own creations?
If I had the choice of being reincarnated, I'd come back as Adam, kill Eve and then commit suicide.

I believe we were taught a lot wrong things
afterlife,heaven..they don't exist in the way it was spoon-fed to us
not in the "wahhabi" concepts anyway :)
