friends are a must in life..some are high school buddies...college friends...party and hang-out friends.shopping friends....etc
However,,the inner circle of trust might include one or two..
when a friend stops being a friend..what should we do?
I had a friend (my high school friend) we were inseparable..but once we went to college..both in different majors..we grew apart over the years..she became more "uptight" ..that's not the problem ..the problem is she started criticizing me over silly things ,
(My hijab for instance)
And not only that..she tries to change the subject whenever I talk about my other friends and saying things that a friend would never say..
I realized that she tells her mom everything I tell her
(even the crazy things moms never approve)
so I decided to cut all ties with her
*sigh*
change can be a good thing..or a bad thing I guess
now I find a missed call every now and then..what should I do
she's been in my life ever since we were 15 :(

So you don't wear hijab? That is so cool.
Be honest with her or just choose the easy way out and give her the whole "it isn't you but it is me and I'm going through so tough shit in my life" crap. I always do that with friends that are too clingy or I wanna ditch.
Hi vampyress! "Middlesex" is a great book. Hope you can read it, too.
Sometimes the people in our lives just change, and we change, and we find that we can't end up sharing the same relationship with them that we had before. But there are those one, two or three long-time friends who stick around no matter what, and that's life's great comfort.
Out of curiosity, what's a hijab? :)
Hijab is a thong for your head.
Dotsson
if Hijab is a thong for the head..it makes it sexier or what ?:S
I'm not the type that judges ppl by what they put over their heads. what's inside their heads is what counts
I wish I can be honest with her without hurting her feelings...
Bernice
Hi nice seeing you here,I'll buy the book soon ;)
yeah I agree with what you said
friends are like family for me :D
Hijab is the scarf Muslim women wear over their heads :)
No it does the opposite: It chokes your head and is a constant pain, just like the thong. But it is supposed to make you look holier than thou as opposed to sexy :)
Maybe you guys are just going through some rough times.
But don't cut her off completely..
Maybe you guys just need...space for a while? Bs 7araam y3ni, you guys were friends since you were 15! :(
..she tries to change the subject whenever I talk about my other friends and saying things that a friend would never say..
Sounds like she's jealous?
dont cut her out
just establish boundaries
Dotsson
...and yet you have to respect personal preferences of those who wear it :P
Taqo
it's like I'm fed up with her..u r right may be I just need some space
yeah she gets jealous sometimes :/
eshda3wa
yeah I will do that :)
i have the same problem with my frnd we were frnds tellin eachother everything but i never told her about the boys i know and once she saw me without hijab with guys she started annoyin me and kept tellin me that am feelin sad bcoz am doin ma3asi that's totally pissed me off and i just hate talkin to her i think she told her mom everythin sooo ignourin her calls isnt a good idea bs there's nothin else to do..
sassy
nice seeing you here :)
it's not about ma3asi ..it's not about ur Hijab
it's about respecting your choices and boundries..having your back no matter what.
one of my new year's resolutions is to cut all ties with her forever...it's tough but it has to be done. :(
